I know how to create virtual directories for my ftp site because I create them and under status I do not see any errors or anything and I can browse the virtual ftp directory when I am on the server. But, users who connect to the ftp site do not see any directories at all. The main directory is empty as it is and that is all they see and they dont see any of the virtual directories. Is there something I am doing wrong or is there some kindd of checklist I need to look at?

Thank in advance for any help you can offer...

-Matt

The virtual directories must be pointed to a location for their home folder. Do you have that set up? Are all people just landing in the ftproot folder? You may need to configure the home folders of the virtual directories in a common tree so they can 'cd' to other folders.

Also, a little known fact is that if you connect as a user with the same name as a virtual directory, you will automatically go there. For example if you have a virtual directory called 'Bill' and you log in as 'Bill', you will go to that directory. If you connect as anyone else, you will go to the FTP root folder, probably ftproot in the Inetpub folder.

Hope that helps.

Glen
