I am setting up a shared folder on our server. I want one file in the folder to be viewable for some and writable for others. The rest of the files in the folder I want to remain so they cant be seen with the exception of one user who is not an admin. Is this possible to do?

Yes, this is possible. Set sharing permissions on the folder to "read" for the group(s) and/or users(s) you want to it be viewable. Set sharing permissions to "read" and "change" for user(s)/group(s) you want it to be read/writeable.
Set NTFS permissions on the folder to "list folder contents" and deny "read" and "write" for all users except the one you mentioned as an exception. Then, set NTFS permissions on the one file you want to share to match the sharing permissions you set earlier.
That should do it. Post back if you need specific help on where to find all these settings.
