Hi,

I would like to know if the following can be done under MS Windows 2003 Enterprise Server:

An active directory that prevents a user to logon(with his username) to a machine DESKTOP-OK but he can logon to machine DESKTOP-JOHN.

So the users of a graphical configured system cannot use the administration computers.

Is this possible, and if so, how can I configure it?

Thank you in advance!

Kind regards,

Jan-Willem (Belgium)

You can set what computers a user can log on to on the AD Account tab (Log On To).

You can also set what users/groups can log on in GPO User Rights Assignment in the Security ->Local Policies section.

By Default, log on to DCs is quite restricted. I think only admins, backup ops, servers ops and 1 or 2 others.
