I am running a server 2003 in a stand-alone network as a file server, I can't browse shared folders from linux boxes using Samba, I see the directories but I can't open them. Everything worked fine before until I ran a scan and defined the "Deny Log On ..." user right assignments, then I undid the changes but nothing worked at first, then I rebooted the server and I was able to log on from my linux box and browse the shares. Couple days later same problem appeared again. When I log on from a Windows machine no issues. any help would be greatly appreciated.
