I am unable to get a user to be able to wite a file into their shared folder on our 2003 server. They are able to open the folder but I cannot write anything to it. They have full permissions on the server to read, write, access, everything basically. Thanks.

I had that problem as well:
Here is how i got it to work:
under the sharing tab, "Permissions" try adding the group you wish to give access to.. with full control and see how that goes.. if they can write to it then i would try to restrict the permissions.

please let me know if that works for you.

Thanks for the help. What I did was make a subfolder in the main folder shared so only that user could access it. However, that folder now shows up on our server as shared when i do \\(server name), which is confusing. Is there a way around that?
