OS: nt 4.o server w/sp6a
CPU/Ram: 455/128
Comment:

When I go to upgrade my sever I get this message.

Windows Setup does not support upgrading from Microsoft Windows NT Server to Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Standard Edition.

Even though in the manual it says that you can upgrade from nt server to server 2003.

It is possible that sp6a did not install properly and I am investigating that. does anybody have an idea as to what my problem, is. Or is it that Microsoft just lies in there maualls.

thanxs,
MDB

why are you upgrading to 2003? why not just 2000?

im sure if you bave managed on nt 4.0 then 2k will do you fine. 2003 has alot more security holes and have not been sorted yet

Nudedesign has got it a bit wrong. 2003 is the improved version, in fact it is 2000 but just with alot of fixes.

The process to upgrade to 2003 is first you must upgrade to 2000 then you upgrade to 2003.
