I have some servers running 2003 Server in a Windows domain. I use WSUS to intall patches and all the computers are configured to use WSUS with an appropriate GPO. I usually set a deadline for installing the patches, unique for all the machines in my network. Sometimes a patch requires a computer restart and I don't want that all my DCs and cluster computers restart at the same time. I tryed applying to some computers a GPO which translated from my language sounds like 'delay restart for scheduled installation', 'wait 30 minutes before executing a scheduled restart' , but it doesn't work, all the computers restart at the same time and essential services are compromised. Is there a way to delay the restart on a subset of computers without creating two groups with different deadlines on WSUS ?
