Name: carl parker
I am not sure where this needs to go. I need to
establish a trust between the DMZ (2008) and
a production domain (2003) where the DMZ
trusts the production domain so that a service
account used by production can write to a
share in the DMZ. Do I need a trust for this or
is there a simpler way I can do this without a
trust. If I need a trust are there any good
resources for creating a trust between a DMZ
and a production domain. Whenever I try to
create the trust it says that it cannot connectI decided to do a Realm trust and I was able to
establish the trust who do test it?Thank you,
Leto the just

Carl I don't know what to say. Not sure why you would think a non-Windows Kerberos V5 realm trust would work between two windows servers. Neither is a non-Windows Kerberos V5 realm right?. Not sure why you would place a DC in the DMZ. Not clear if we are dealing with two domains in the same forest or two different forests. It's not clear if the 2008 server is a DC except you write "between a DMZ and a production domain"
Best I can do for you is point you to the ports you need open on the router between them for the microsoft trusts to work.
