My server has suddenly been touched with the metalic form of mad cow. I was woundering if their is any way to backup and transfer all my active directory settings, along with user profiles and the such, to another computer without transfering the system files and the such.

If you setup another PC w/ server 2003 i think you might be able to use the active directory migration tool, haven't tried it but that may be an option. Look on microsoft's site for it, (is free).

Active Directory Migration Tool is not a backup program. What you want to do is a system state backup which you can do in the Backup Utility in Windows.

You could also install another computer with Window 2003 and make it a domain controller and all AD data would automatically be replicated to it.

Good luck.
