hi , friends,

I created a task shedule to
shutdown the windows 2003 server
automatically at 7.30 pm every day.
but it worked out for two days.
later it is not shutting down.
i checked all the options
like no hours limit etc.. but no use.
what could be the reason?
plz suggest to solve it.

why are you wanting to shut down your server? Is there another way you could accomplish what you want done?

You can use .bat file to shutdown the server.

Use following bat file and then add it to the scheduled tasks.

@echo off
shutdown -s
exit
