Hi!
has just installed a win2003 small business server with AD.
Thus having problems with the time sync to clients.
The server gets the time from it´s hardware clock and it works fine... thus the clients doesn´t seem to adjust their clock according to the server...
If i have understood the AD correct it should sync time with clients automaticly?

Just solved it!
The client computer was a couple of years behind. Soo i just put it to the same year and month and the time began to sync against the server.
Don't know why this works but it does...

It's a protection mechanism against rogue time servers or in case your time server is hacked or malfunctioning.

You could also download a free Windows 2003 Time Sync utility called nikiTime and just use the Windows Time service to keep clients in sync. It is much easier and better to use this utility rather than setting up the time servers manually.
