Hi,
On the only DC (win2k3 server SP2) of my
domain I get Event ID:8007, Type Error.

Description:
The browser was unable to update the service
status bits. The data is the error.

And then the DC stops responding. Resetting
is the only option.

Its a DC, DNS, WINS and DHCP server of the
domain, McAfee 8.0 Enterprise edition (with
latest antivirus definitions). Antivirus scan does
not show any virus activity also.

How can I fix it?
Please suggest.

Regards

Your last post was about the master browser elections.

Did you change something?

Google the event id for more info

Thanks for keeping the track, you have been a great help.

Yes I checked your reply, I know its the usual stuff on windows domains, I've seen it even on NT domains. But was not able to figure out of my server's problem of being not responsive after this event is logged, so I logged it for help.

One of the problems was with McAfee, I uninstalled it, restarted the DC and reinstalled a fresh copy of McAfee.

Now there is no problem and its working fine.

Getting back to my "Event ID:8007" issue, I'll google about it as suggested by you.

Thanks
