I want to remote control a particular user. So I go to the Term. Services Manager and right click on the name, but the remote control is grayed out, even though I have the allow remote control option for the user account enabled. The only thing that I can think of is that the user I want to remote has administrative priviledges. Can user who belong to the administrators group be remote controlled under Term. Services?
I use terminal service for my home network, i connect as adminnistrator too, and the user the connects to the terminal (to the remote desktop) is one with admin privillages, i don't use AD however, so it might not be so simillar regarding users privilages.
You can remote control Administrators. Do you have "Full Control" on RDP connections? Go to "Administrative Tools" - "Terminal Services Configuration" - "Connections", right click "RDP-Tcp" - Properties - Permissions.

Hey Mike, Yes I do have Administrators Full Control on RDP connections. Its really strange...before I reformatted I did not have this problem. By the way I can still use the other functions liking disconnecting people or logging off sessions, but I just can't remote. I don't recall any special configs that I did to make this work...if I am not mistaken this is a fairly easy thing to do. Once again ANY help would be greatly appreciated.
