I know that the latest version of Terminal Server (2008) has the ability to give users access to applications without requring the entire desktop of the TS session via RemoteAPP. I was wandering if there was a way to emulate this with TS 2003. I have an applicaiton that I need users to be able to access through TS; however, they really dont need an entire desktop session. My TS server is a seperate physical server from the server that contains the application. The idea would be that once the TS (RDP session connect, users could click an icon on their desktop (not the TS desktop session) and access the application remotely as if it is local. Is a setup like this possible via TS 2003, or would I need to upgrade to 2008 (RemoteAPP) for this feature?

If you look in the user's domain account under the [Enviroment] tab, there's a field where you put in the path to the program executable so it starts in the session and exits the session when the user closes the program. This has been available since Windows 2000 Server.

Assume that I already did an Internet search.
