Is there a way other than My Docs Redirection in combo with Offline files where you can synchronize a person My Document folder to a server share when the person logs off and on? I want the user to be able to run their My Docs locally all the time when on and off the network and synch the My Docs when logging off and on. I woud like to know if possible without 3rd party backup software. . I was told this can be done with built in Microsoft tools possibly using GPO's? Reason doing it this way is many user complaints using My Docs redirection and accessing their My Docs over the network.

Any help would be great.

What OS is being used? All you have to do is setup Synchronization to use offline files.

Hi Jennifer. Thanks for the response. The clients are all XP and the server is Server 2003. Do you have any link to documentation that can show how to use synchronization with just offline files and not using My Dcc Redirection? Thanks,

Jimmy K
