Hi. I just finished my network and everything works ok. I have setup a domain controller with active directory. I have a very strange problem. I have shared some folders for network use and i put permissions. In a folder i denied the write permission in some users. I want only from them to be able to read the files of this folder. Ok they cant save straight to this folder. But they can copy the file they want in their local computer. They change it and put it back in the shared folder. So they can write by this way. Do you know how can I stop this??? If I could stop copy paste for this folder would be the best I think.
All the shared folders are in the server (dommain controller)

Thank you

its a permissions problem not a copy and paste problem. for the users that u want to be able to read but not write, set the permissions to read and list folder contents only, and deny everything else, and set this where needed (top level or on a subdirectory)
remember inheretents, check to make sure another permission on an upper level is not overriding, this might not be the case if u have specifically "denied" access then deny will override anything
good luck, post back
