how do you set up 2003 server to accept connections from an ssh client like putty.

install a ssh server program, if you can find one, for windows.

ssh is more of a unix/linux tool, putty lets you use the windows box as a client to connect to the unix server.

and being a unix tool, uncle billy doesn't really like to help with that too much.

dont know if that is built into 2k3 or not its not in previous versions but i use a posix layer on my servers called cygwin
(open source posix (unix) layer for windows )
in otherwords free
in it is a ssh server that you can set to run with windows and it has the client as well

a free windows ssh client (client only) is putty.exe
try google to find it
microsoft (just today) made its services for unix addon free i dont know if that is in there or not i know it has a native nfs client but not much beyond since before today it cost 99 dollars to get
