I am having some problems with a transaction log file which has grown to 98gb. Basically I need to shrink it to free up some space.
I have tried using the DBCC SHRINKFILE (database) command and also BACKUP LOG database etc but as the space on the server is less than the LDF file it isnt working.
Can anyone tell me how to shrink this file, Please! :-)
Life is more painless for those who are brainless.

Thanks for that, however, I still have the problem that I cannot Backup, Truncate or Shrink the database because I do not have enough disk space on the server. The DB is 98GB in size and I only have 30GB Free Space!
