I have been having problems with this. I want to run speedfan as a service so that it continues to run even when I log off. I have done every thing specified by both MS Tech Support and here...

No matter what it does not show up in the Service Manager. Some one suggested to put it in an NT Wrapper but I can not figure out how to do this.

First off, try this:

If that doesn't work, try using SRVANY:

I had already tried the SRVANY which made the registry keys and a sys file in the system32 directory but the service did not show up in the service manager.

Doing the SC said the service already existed so I deleted it with the SC and recreated it which seemed to work. The problem is when I go to start the service speed fan comes up but the service start function times out and closes speed fan. It gives some kind of error about hoe it can't start on the local machine. I guess I have to reboot but being that this is a server it will have to wait to after hours.
