Sound is just not working, everything related to sound is enabled, Nforce control panel shows the music is playing, hardware is accelerated, latest nvidia drivers are on, music just doesnt come out of the speakers, which themselves are fine, tested on another computer.... Any idea, what should I do, i am going mad! Hardware problem? I read the same problem on another messageboard where user said he had to "delete the enum"...can anyone explain..what that means and how can i do that, without destroying something useful in the computer.

Try this I had to this after installing Win 2003 Server for sound to work.... Go to Control Panel > Click on Sounds And Audio Devices > In the volume tab under speaker settings click the advance button > click on the performance button > choose your acceleration levels full works fine with me. By default windows server 2003 doesn't have these settings to ensure better server performance if you change them the server still works exactlly the same in my case.......... also make sure the sound volume is set to full its all in the control panel under sounds etc. click on all the tabs and see what you can do click on all the buttons... you said u have acceleration on.... maybe this will help maybe not.....

Is it onboard sound, if so you will have to find the exact driver for that chip, i just had the same problem, everything was set and still no sound, once i looked at the motherboard found the sound chip and searched for the driver and installed it everything fine.

I had problems getting my sound to work. Found out that my speakers were hooked through its digital interface. Swapped it out for the normal analog connection... I had sound.
