Hi frienz, I need help on configuring mail server on windows server 2003
for my 5thsem project of the MCA.
I don't know much about it, but I need it to host my email service website.

Few things about my site
--------------------------------
It will allow user to create account and than send emails to each other over the
Intranet.
For that every user will require their own mailbox on the server.
So their mail will reside in that mailbox and will be fetched when user logs in to the site.
I dont know how the mailbox will be created when new user is created?
So how to do all these?
Any other Ideas????
And how to host site for the Intranet?
Is any built in service available in server 2003 or I need to have some
tools for these?

Please give me detailed notes for these.
Help me, bcoz I've very short deadline for the project.

Are you using SBS2003? If so, you need to configure Active Directory, first and foremost with a domain controller, then you can configure exchange. The mailboxes will be created upon creating the user objects in active directory...

Go thru the Add Role Wizard for Active Directory, but what are you planning to use for mail hosting? Exchange, if so, you need to buy Exchange or if you just need a POP3/SMTP server, you can do that with IIS, install that as well...that should get you going...
