Hi there,

I have a new windows 2003 server, and 5 workstations.
I'm not logging onto a domain, its setup at the moment so each of the Pc's logon locally, and have mapped drives to server locations.
The problem is when they log back (after i've mapped the drives)on it takes some time to load windows, If i remove the mapped drives they logon fast (fine)

I've added a DNS entry for the server, checked SMB signing, no joy.

can anyone help, please???

The mapped drives are persistent, but its slow when you double click on them.

Sorry should have phrased my question better.

network speed runs fine. the only issue is with mapping the drives, and when you first double click on the mapping.
