Hi, I recently setup Windows 2003 serverw ith Active Directory, but I'm having an issue on Winxp system login very slow. It took about 2 minutes. Is this normal? If I switch back to workgroup, it login in second.
Here what I have done on the server side:
Server IP: 192.168.1.4
Sub mask: 255.255.255.0
gateway: 192.168.1.1
DNS: 192.168.1.4On my netgear router I also add a reservation for 192.168.1.4.
I also try uninstall my dns server and reinstall again but still got the same issue.
Winxp machine is using DHCP. Thank, Bong

Run dcdiag and netdiag. This is usually caused by screwed up DNS.

Install the Windows 2003 support tools. Make sure you use the appropriate ones for your service pack level.

I just installed windows 2003 resouce manager but don't seem to find the option to run this tool dcdiag and netdiag.

Read what I said more carefully.
I did not say "Resource Manager". I said Support Tools.
