Hi
I have on windows 2003 server and 100 win xp pro client. I have 2 subnet at my my office. The router between 2 subnet is a linux router using FC7. It can ping between any two PCs.

We login to Server 2003 from windows XP Professional Workstations.

If the pc and the server at the same subnet, login only need 20sec.

If I login at other subnet, it take more than 10min. But something time are very fast. All my PC have reborn card, so the PC must not has locally cached profile.

I already point the DNS to the 2003 server. The problem still appear something. How can I check my DNS setting it correct. Will the client dns add to the dns server automatic?

the clients on the remote network are not using the server as their only dns server. Change dhcp on the remote network's desktops to only use the 2003's dns ip. This is the most common AD problem people face

true bilbus but usually they forget the forwarder info also hence the question of how they are connected to the internet.

Imagine the power if you knew how to internet search

All PC is using AD server server as dns.

All PC at AD subnet can find at DNS.
But not all PC cannot be found at DNS on other subnet. It need release the IP and renew again after reboot.

My DHCP is install a linux FC7. Which information I need to given at DHCP.

All PC connect internet via a firewall. The DC at the backbone. There are can client PC also at the backbone, all of them are login very fast.

There are some PC inside some subnet. The PC something login very fast but something slow.

All the dns at client point to DC server.

On the other hand there are another DC runign windows 2000. And one NT server which were PDC before. How replace with the 2003 server. And the NT server is not in the domain server group.

There are not problem at all subnet before update to 2003 server.
