Slow log on to server 2003

I have a network 8 computers hooked onto Server 2003. It takes anything from 1 minute to 2.5 minutes to log on to the server.
Anyone have any ideas what causes this? Any tips are very much appreciated.

First you have to load computer settings, then network settings....then the user logs on and you have to load personal settings and run any startup scripts you may have configured. In a domain, this isn't an unusually long logon time. At least, not in my experience.

Thanks for relating your experience.
I asked our IT guy (outsourced) and allowing the computer 1 to 2.5 minutes to load everything is quite normal. Logging on immediately after one other user has logged off will take the computer even longer due to the processing needed to unload the previous user's profiles and load the next user's profiles.
