I have set up new server. First shared folders I try to set up will not allow users or Domain Admins access to that folder, (such as creating a folder under shared folder) (full access to Dom Admins, modify to users) when logging onto the laptop although I created them as a Domain Admins, & have no probs on the server. No other permissions set, such as Deny, unless there is a default on AD that I am unaware of. Desparately seeking an answer. Thanks.

I found the answer below in the archives, maybe I am getting Share Permissions and NTFS permissions mixed up. See previous answer

Hi David.
I have the fix, you need to give appropiate permissions to the Share. Remember permissions are accumative so even if you have full control (NTFS permission), the highest share permission set as default is Read. Change Read to Full Control."The share permission is on the sharing & security tab of the folder properties, which I left as is. And NTFS permissions are the permissions that are applied to Administrator, Authenticated Users, Everyone, etc. Right??
