Hi All ,

I'll try to describe my issue as clearly as possible.
* There was power outage and I had to reboot some servers;
* All the servers came back online
* One (1) Win 2000 File Server Share (a folder called Home) removed permissions for some users!

Just one folder is having permissions issues. (The main folder users access of course, "Home") About half the users had their permissions reinstated on reboot the other half recieved Access Denied when attempting to access there Home share.

Please Help!
Zip (AD newbie)

Reply:

Always run chkdsk /f after a crash.

If errors are corrected, when you note a problem, restore files/permissions from backup.

Review event viewer logs and AD for errors. You may have a issue with active directory.
