You need to make sure you have all your prerequisites fulfilled. Do you have a static IP from your ISP? If you do not, hosting a domain on the server becomes difficult. You could always setup a dynamic account with services like dyndns.org and then setup IIS on your computer. But if you've got a static IP you can literally host the domain and the web server. Too little information to give you an answer.
