I have remote desktop working over our LAN and want to access the sever remotely using the tsweb connection. I have read several sets of instructions but none of them give details about hosting the tsweb page.

Must the tsweb page be hosted by my server using IIS? Or can it be put on the same server as our website which is off site?

Any links would be appreciated.

Yes.

"Or can it be put on the same server as our website which is off site?"

No, the IIS server proxies the connection.

Okay... I currently am hosting some pages on the server for internal use only. Yesterday I changed the IIS to use a port other than 80, as a security measure, and those pages stopped working until I changed it back.

Will I be able to keep those pages internal only AND host tsweb as visible to the internet?

I am missing a chunk of the puzzle here. Could be that I just don't know what term to look up in my books :(

What is the network topology in respect to this IIS server and the rest of your network?

When you say DMZ, do you mean you have cascading firewalls? ie...

Internet -> Border firewall -> DMZ network with this IIS server -> Internal Firewall -> Internal network

Not even sure I can answer that. There is a hardware firewall in the router and software firewall on the Win 2003 server.

If you are using Win Svr 2003, you can create another virutal web site, with a port number other than 80, and point its drive location to the TSWeb docs that were created when you installed it.

You would also have to create a special header for this site as well.

Example:
Current site is www.mycompany.com
TS site could be tsaccess.mycompany.com:8070

You would have to set up a DNS A record for the new hostname "tsaccess.mycompany.com" and point it to the same webserver IP as the rest of your sites.
