Is there a way to limit a particular user's (or group's) printing quantities via active directory?

You can restrict it to certain quantities per job.

Very carefully... :-)

It's a bit convoluted, and not based on number of pages, but data size.

Move the print spooler to it's own volume, enable a quote to a certain data size for the system account.

I have done it, although I didn't like the solution quite honestly. The issue is if small docs add up to the quota limit, additional jobs would be denied.

You would also need to have multiple print servers for the same printer to control this on a per group basis. You control this by assigning allow permissions to the pritners whose servers have the appropriate quota setting (or lack thereof) for the group of users.

I would recommend a 3rd party add on instead.
