Hi all,

I am trying to install win 2003 server on a machine that has got WinXP. on the instllation menu when i press enter to install Win 2003 it asks me whether to replace the existing WINDOWS folder which is WIN XP. I chose Different folder and then it tells me "Setup was unable to verify drive C: Your computer may not have enough memory to examine the driver or your Windows CD may contain some corrupted files. To Continue Press Enter"

Now my laptop has got only one drive and also there are 11 GB space free, now i don't understand why it is saying that i don't have enough memory and also windows cd may contain corrupted files. As far as i know this Cd was used to install Win 2003 on our server.

I tried deleting the Existing WINDOWS folder as well which is deleting WinXP but still i get this message.

Can some one please help me.

You can Installed

First time it will ask whether to replace the existing WINDOWS folder which is WIN XP.

You need to select replace. Then system will restart.Main work in this one You need to select partition. If winxp in C Drive you need to select D drive. Then it will become Dual boot System.

Microsoft, and just about every other professional tech you could meet, recommends installing different versions of Windows on separate partitions.

Thanks guys. If i have one drive and i want to install Windows 2003 on Windows XP then do i have to select "Delete The partition" option in Win 2003 setup to delete WinXP and then use that partition to install Windows 2003.

Please let me know. Thanks.
