i have a client with server 2k3 and 25 workstations. right now they are using a basic linksys router but i want to setup a much more secure router with a solid firewall. the client doesn't want to spend more than a $1,000(ish).

what do you guys recommend?

check out watchguard firebox soho firewall.

it has a custom linux os nat/firewall. very secure and around $600 or so.

the same people make a larger firebox for big companies and this soho has the same os and so on.

we use them in our remote plants/offices, they do a good job for us.
