Hi,

I just downloaded 2 iSO files for a free
trial of Server2003 R2. Do I need to merge
these files some how before burning them to
DVD?? I tried dragging the files from desktop
to the burn software and it burned as two
independent iso files. I'm attempting to create
a VMware server 2003 R2 on Work Station VM.
When I tried to boot off the DVD I got the error message that there was no bootable software.

I've been successful with VMware creating a Solaris 10 image but the Install DVD was already created.

Really could use some help on this one.
Thanx

Brad

Just mount the ISO if you're using VMWare. No need to burn the CD at all.

Otherwise, 2003 R2 is two CD's. Burn the ISO's separately.

I'm not sure how to mount the iso
files under VMware. The files are currently
saved to my desktop.

I don't know what VMWare product you're using, but it's usually VM -> Removable Devices -> CD ROM -> Edit...

Select Use ISO Image, and browse or type in the path to it.

It worked great heropsycho nice call.

However at the end of the install it asked
for the remaining software and was looking
on the CD. So instead of stopping the VMware
to point to the other file I burned the
2nd iso file onto a separate CD clicked
on Computer properties then clicked on D:
it continued on and finished to installation.

Thanks for your help!

Brad

You could have disconnected the ISO, and the browsed to the second ISO and mounted it...

More than one way to skin a cat I suppose...mine just used one less blank CD...
