Okay I was cursed with installing server 2003 on a custon built server running a Intel entry level server board SE7221BA1-E. I have the disks and have located the sata raid drivers and copied them to a floppy. When I run server 2003 install I press f6 then slect the floppy I copied the driver files too and i get this error message:

FILE\WINDOWS\MEGAIDE.SYS CAUSED AN UNEXPECTED ERROR (18) AT LINE 2187 IN D:\SRV03RTM\BASE\BOOT\SETUP\OEMDISK.C.

After doing some research I found that the bios software on this board is outdated so this may have something to do with the embedded raid controllers software. So I downloaded the new bios update. But the problem is that I have to extract the bios update files to bootable media run the bios setup utility. The bios update is too big to fit on a floppy and I tried making a bootable CD and putting the files on that but it did not work. So then I tried putting the files on a usb drive and booting to that but it says ntldr is missing. So do you think it's the bios or do you think something else is wrong.

Did you read the update instructions? Doubt, if too large to fit, it belongs on one floppy. Some updates have multiple floppies which may be the case here.

You could put the drivers on CD and put it in the drive. Boot with a bootdisk (that will load the CD-ROM drivers - a windows 98 SE bootdisk from www.bootdisk.com will do the trick) and run the BIOS update from the DOS prompt pointing at the CD-ROM for the drivers.

I would update the RAID BIOS at the same time.

I will try bootdisk.com The instructions for the update just said extract files to bootable media and it does not give an option for multiple diskettes.
