Hi - We have a small business and are looking to upgrade our current hardware and s/ware from a Dell P3 600 Server running SBS 4.5 to a new server running SBS 2003. We will probably also upgrade the desk top machines from P3's running Win 98SE to new ones with XP Pro.
We need a reliable installer who knows what he/she is doing, can advise on features and set up, migrate email accounts etc over and generally sort things out, but who isn't going to cost the earth!
Anyone got any suggestions about how to find someone??!!
Help much appreciated!
Adam

I don't think you'd want to pay me and for my travel expenses from the US, alhtough I've never been to England before. :-)
Keep in mind there is an MCP cert for SBS 2003 to help you know for sure if someone has some baseline of skills with the product, but I don't know anyone actually trying to get certified for it since it's all the the core apps of full 2003.

Thanks for the thoughts! You could always combine a holiday with a weeks work to pay for the flights!!

My wife can't fly, and if I went on a holiday without her...let's just say that's not an option. ;-)

Two ways to go.
Either get a larger company that offers hardware and software solutions to supply a quote. Places like HP and IBM and Dell might offer these services to smaller companies like yours.
Or, detail a work requirement for software work and bid it out to your local people. You still would need the hardware.Either way you are kind of in the dark if you have no one in the company that can consult with for details.
