Hi,

I hope I've come to the right place ;o) I'm moving over from the dark side (debian) to set up my first MS server installation. I'm looking for an answer to one question.

I will be running two identical HP Proliants, each with 4gb and 2x 3.2ghz Xeon CPUS. I want to run then in DFS mode and replicate each other.

I understand this replicates normal data with no problems, will this also work with replicating exchange and SQL Server? I'm worried that while replicating normal data is ok, I will come across issues when wanting to replicate an SQL or exchange server across 2 machines.

Apologies if it's a n00b question!

Joe

Aren't you thinking FRS [file replication service]?

You can replicate database information between sql databases. A sql server course/book will tell you how.

Give a person a fish, they eat for a day. Suggest they internet search and they learn a skill for a lifetime.
