Hi There, is it possible to run a program as a service on win 2003 server? I need a specific program to start up when the pc is started instead of having to log in and run the program manualy.

Dunno why I think this but doesn't the program have to be written to have a choice to be run as a service? Anyway someone made an app called something like RunExeSvc that might work.

Idealy the program would be designed to run as a service, but not all of them are. You have to be carefull with this however. Not all programs run well as a service - VB apps for example are not recommended to be run as a service.
There is a utility called srvany that will probably work for you. It is available as a download at Microsofts web site in the Windows Server 2003 Resource Kit.
