Comment:

I have a computer that has two NIC's in it, one of them connected to the outside workd and one connected to my network.

the NIC on my network is staticly assigned to this IP
10.0.0.3
255.0.0.0
Gateway: 10.0.0.3

DNS: 10.0.0.1

the DNS server is also the DHCP server and it works (if i plug in a linksys router to the network everything works, however i need more controll over the connection than it allows)

i setup RRAS using the wizard and selected teh apropriate connections for it to auto- setup the NAT and everything, however the server cant connet to the internet, neither can any of the clients behind it.

i have found that if i start up the server with only the internet cable pluged in, go to a website, then plug in the cable to my switched network then it will work for a while.

any help would be greatly apreciated.

Do u connect to the internet threw a router or using a dial up connection ?
I once tried RRAS to connect 3 pcs threw one server 2003 with RRAS, and i found out,i can't use adsl dialer, nor can i use ICS (yeah NAT would solve that , but it's worthless without a connection... :-/
