Hi, at the minute we use roaming profiles. The problem we have though is disk space on the local machines. The profile gets downloaded from the server and stored to the c drive. How can I configure the server so that users all log on with the same profile and any changes they make, i.e. moving desktop icons, renaming icons etc. will not be saved. I would like to do this because (apart from admin profiles) there will only be one profile stored on each of the machines. If anyone can help me it would be much appreciated!

I would assume something along the lines of mandatory profiles and making the folders read-only on the server.
Holy Wow.

I'm not 100% sure on how to do mandatory profiles. I did try but when I tried to log on it said it could not find my profile. So any help on how to set up Mandatory profiles would be useful. Also if I set the folder to read only when the user logs out and it tries to save settings surely it would throw up an error message that the profile settings could not be saved? Any ideas?
Cheers!

To make a profile mandatory you set their desktop to the way you want it set. Then find the ntuser.dat text file and change the extension to ntuser.man . Then if that user changes the settings, they won't save.
