Hi All,
I haven't had any formal training on windows server so I apologise if I seem dense...
I have a network running 2003 server with about 55 XP PRO clients. They have roaming profiles up and can work fine (on other machines and everything). However recently there have been complaints such as the following:1) When users logon to another machine and back again they seem to get an OLD COPY of their profile (They can't remember if they had the old profile when they logged onto the second machine - useful...).
2) Following on from this some project work seems to come back with an old copy when they log back on in the morning - as in old version of code that they corrected a month ago.
3) All profiles are set up with FULL ACCESS and READ/WRITE privileges which are then propogated down to child folders (the 'replace permissions' button is checked.) - I have noticed though that the users are NOT the owners, is that a problem at all?
I understand that this is a tricky one (for me it is anyway, lol) but I would REALLY appreciate any help at all - I fear that I may get lynched by my colleagues should this not get sorted quikly, lol.
Many thanks, Mike

Hi
Have a quick look at the security settings to see if "Do not allow roaming profiles changes to propagate to server" setting is configured. Sorry if that is not the actual wording of the setting but it is something like that.
