What exactly "roams" in a roaming profile. So, what is copied to the server and copied back to the client again when loggin in?
It seem settings and all files, maps and links on the desktop, only this map or also other locations?

If I understand the question then the answer is the User roams. They should be able to go to any computer and when they log in they have their desktop at the new computer.
They would have to be carefull not to make desktop settings that can't be applied to unsupported adapters or monitors.

You say: "have their desktop at the new computer".
So the desktop is copied (synchronised): - Desktop settings (color, resolution) - Desktop files - ?
Anything more? I try to find out exactly what is copied.

Hi The things that get copied is Desktop settings, any documents in my documents (unless this has been altered to a diff location) Network drive mappings, Printer settings (network printers)
I would say that the my documents are altered to a seperate network share, to help keep the profile size down, also, educate them not to save documents on the desktop, as these move around as well, & profile gets larger once more Dave
