Hi All,

I have been asked to implement a roaming profile into a small network that has SBS running and the default profile allows users to sync My Documents to a share on the server. But i need to do roaming profile and make them use everything(including Outlook data, which doesnt have the Exchange system but POP3 instead, Desktop, Favorites, etc. basically all user files)

I created a new test user and set it up as a roaming but it still only Syncs the My Documents, so what I did, i change the location of the Desktop, Favorites and make them saved under My Documents and it works fine, but the Outlook data is already pointed to the server(just a basic share folder and map a drive on the client and point the Outlook Data settings to the server)

So What i'd like to change is, make all these files saved on the server and allow every user to be able to use any PC in the network.

I'd appreciate any info you'd like to share.
Thanks in advance.

Atilla

PST's accessed remotely over a network share is explicitly not supported by Microsoft.

Do you guys think i should do a folder redirection through a new GPO and use it only for PST file?

or any suggestion how to make this work?

If the user maps a home drive (if not use login script or set option in user account under ad) use gpo's to redirect my documents to their mapped home drive, also setup via gpo to store all fav's on their home drive. that way it will always follow and gpo's will apply fav's where ever they logon.

If at first you fail; your about average
