roaming profile MCSE question

Comment:
I'm using the M$ Press MCSE book for exam 70-290 and can't seem to get this roaming profile to stick. (ex 3-5 on 3-34, 3-35) It has me create a profile template which I have no problem with. Then when I set up a preconfigured user profile and copy the profile over to a user and log on as that user I get: Windows did not load your roaming profile and is attempting to log you on with your local profile. Changes to the profile will not be copied to the server when you logoff. Windows did not load your profile because a server copy of the profile folder already exists that does not have the correct security. Either the current user or the administrators group must be the owner of the folder. Contact your netwrok admin.
Then: Windows cannot find the local profile and is logging you in with a temp profile. Changes made to this profile will be lost when you log off.
The administrator is the owner of the folder and it is shared to everyone with full access to everyone.
Any ideas/suggestions? I've checked permissions and the path. They are both good.
