Hi

We have some laptops which I am setting up so the users can print to the nearest Colour laser printer. The server acts as the printer server for all the colour laser printer. Each floor has a colour laser printer. Any suggestions how I could go about it.

I was thining of creating an OU and grouping the users into each OU then just add VB login script to add the printer.
But the users also go into the computer room to login to the desktop machines which I want the default printer to be that.
So I thought maybe add also in the VB script to compare all the computers name, if it's in the computer room then make that the default.

But next year the grouping will change again, just though if there is a quicker way.

Thanks

Ken

give the users logging into the laptops a new password (maybe with mob at the end of their current one, whatever)belonging to the laptop* group, copy their profiles over to their ***mob profile, maybe right a script to copy them every day or 6 hours etc

if the users change ...easy enough

quicker and easier
