I'm trying to add attributes to the global catalog in Active Directory. I've gone through Schema Manager and checked "Replicate to Global Catalog" then gone back into Users and Computers > Advanced View but the fields still don't show up. I read that you have to resyncronize the forest, but this is in a test environment with only that one DC.

The fields I'm trying to replicate are employeeType and photo.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

tou might to check the role assignment within Active directory. If you have more than one DC then your roles should be seperated. In fact it you server is a Global Catalog server it should not be the Infrastucture master. Might want to try that first.... Good Luck
