Hi,

I run the command repadmin.exe /showutvdec . dc=<Domain Name>,dc=local. Then it lists out the USN number as below.

12868c32-2116-4868-b776-06ac2a780985 @ USN 16426 @ Time 2007-02-14 12:52:01
Default-First-Site-Name\WIN2K3-HK @ USN 4703158 @ Time 2008-04-15 15:30:15
Default-First-Site-Name\SBS-2003 @ USN 7173193 @ Time 2008-04-15 15:30:21
4918b3db-474d-41b2-bf33-5489c23c9d63 @ USN 117445 @ Time 2005-09-01 08:38:06
Default-First-Site-Name\WIN2K3-CN @ USN 4637667 @ Time 2008-04-15 15:30:15


From the above, there are two entries which apparently the data of two old DC (They were not removed properly.) Can you please tell me how to remove those two data. Your advice would be greatly appreciated.

Need to remove the information using NTDSUTIL. This is a way you can access AD from the DOS prompt. Also may need to remove the servers from AD Sites and Services. Remove any records in DNS related to those servers. And you may want to look at your DC container in AD to see if they exist in there as well. ADSIEDIT is another utility that can be used to assist in this process. Link to the KB article at MS for ntdsutil:
