Is it possible to for me to manually install Windows Updates to the XP Pro systems on my Windows 2003 active directory?
If so, what is this called, and where can I get more information on how to do it?

Please note, that I am referring to a system-wide all at once install. I know I can literally go to each computer and run the updates, but when we're dealing with 500 computers, that can be a pain.

SUS is what I think you need. With the software at MS you can either download the updates or let the clients go to the MS site I think. Then you can choose how you wish them to be downloaded to the clients and when and who can deny the updates. The sales pitch is that you would test each update on a small group of test computers. That way you don't have to uninstall all 500 machines if it borks your local programs.
