Hi when I remote desktop within my network I can remote into the server with no problems. my router has TCP pot 3389 open and UDP 3389. when trying to access via remote from outside I cannot access it. Any ideas on what this could be? Thanks

I had a similar problem in the past, found the problem to be with the firewall.
I turned off Windows firewall until I'd configured it correctly. Also check whether your firewall is blocking any outbound connections.

Sure, Windows Firewall under Start>Control Panel.
Turn that off temporarily to see if the connection works.
Your router should have an inbuilt firewall anyway, which you've already configured the ports for. The connection could be going straight through your router and then blocked at Windows Firewall.

actually I tried again and now I can remote in. Now I have to
mess with the tsweb remote in but not going to use much
cause of active X Thanks guys
