I used to be able to use remote desktop fine internally and externally. Now I cann access and get to login screen fine. After I login all that appears is a blue screen. Also sometime Remote desktop closed right after the login screen without me clicking or typing anything. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Did you install 120 days or more ago? Might be that the TS has stopped??

The service is up and running, What I was meaning is that I acctually connect through Remote Desktop. THe Windows logon screen comes up fine. I enter user acct and password. After that all that appears is a blue screen.

I also should be more specific with the version of Server 2003 I have. It is the Small Business Edition.
Time would be close to 120 days but happened before.

Also do have Webpage running on machine. I know that RDP uses port 80 in conjuction with other port.

I would try to use the web interface for remote desktop. That one requires port 80 to be forwarded to the server (which from your previous post shouldn't be a problem). The normal remote desktop service does not need port 80 to be forwarded to the server however. If logging in through the web interface doesn't work, try setting up a different account and logging in using it. That way maybe you can find out if it's a problem with the specific account you are trying to log in with.

Error message is as follows in event viewer:

The RDP protocol component "DATA ENCRYPTION" detected an error in the protocol stream and has disconnected the client.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

This is the same exact symptoms that i've been having. It first started as not being able to connect at all, then I read an article on how to reduce the level of encryption on the RDP session:

http://www.thethin.net/faqs2.cfm?id=455&category=2&sortby=date

This really baffles me. Its the SAME EXACT ERROR message in event veiwer, but I cannot figure it out! ARG! F@#%ING M$!!
