Remote and Local logon

I currently was logged into a 2003 server locally and also remotely with the same username and pw. I kicked off an application while being logged in remotely. Can I stop or edit the application without logging off locally through my local logon? I logged on remotely via remote desktop(mstsc.exe). The application is just a file sharing tool.

Read up on MMC snap in's to control that machine. I think that the MMC is outside of the rdp/ts use that happens when you log in. I think though that you should/could be allowed to run each local, remote and mmc at the same time.

Thanks. I figured it out with 2 options. Either I can control the remote session locally or control the local session remotely. Either way I am happy. Thanks again.
